About Us
The Mooring Scholarship Foundation was founded by Melvin Mooring and Beverley Boothe-Mooring to provide academic scholarships to young African American/Black high school students of outstanding ability to attend some of the finest colleges and universities in the Country in order to fulfill God's purpose for their lives.
The Mooring Scholarship Foundation provides Scholars with the financial resources to attend an accredited college and university in the United States. Upon acceptance, Scholars are each to be awarded $8,000 ($2,000 per year for 4 years) that may be used at the college or university of their choice. The hope is that graduating scholars will make a difference in the lives of others in the field that God has called them to serve.
